Welcome to the New Truly Moving Pictures.org
It's finally here. After weeks of hard work by both Heartland and the great folks at BitWise Solutions, Heartland is proud to unveil the new look and feel of Truly Moving Pictures online. The new site is packed with features, and we can't wait for you to take a look around. Not only does everything look different, but you'll quickly figure out all the ways the new site lets you get involved and get the most out of Truly Moving Pictures.
What's New
Register
Some of the best features on the new site are available to our Registered Users. Don't worry--we don't ask for much. Just create a user name and password, then dig into the Truly Moving Poll or have your say at our new Message Board. You can even pretend to be Roger Ebert for a day and post your own Truly Moving Picture movie reviews. Registering also means that you can receive our twice-monthly newsletters with everything that's new at Truly Moving Pictures. We'll keep you up to date on what's in theaters, what's coming to DVD, and which films have been added to The List.
The List
Every week, we add two films to The List. It's your one-stop-shop for every film that's been recognized as a Truly Moving Picture. Now, you can sort The List and find the Oscar Winners, Truly Moving Picture Award winners and even the Top Ten Truly Moving Pictures of all time.
Search
We wanted to make it easier for you to find the movies you want to see. Our new database allows you to search for a film by a keyword, director or actor/actress. You can find all the films with a certain rating or ones made in a given decade, too. So go ahead, search your heart out.
Featured Films
It's what we're all about, after all, so we took extra care to make the films we're highlighting really stand out. You can read more about what's in theaters, new to DVD, freshly added to The List and featured in F.I.L.M., our partnership with the National Collaboration for Youth. Still not sure about a film? Visit it's page to watch a trailer. Once you're ready to see it, buy tickets (if it's in theaters) or purchase the DVD (if it's out).
Message Board
At the top of every page are a few links we don't want you to forget. There's a way to link to us, with our logo available to post on your site. There's also a way to forward the page you're on to a friend. And if you're registered, you can click on Message Board to have a conversation with other film buffs about anything you'd like. The board is your place to talk about films that you love, filmmakers that have moved you, films you wish would be made...anything at all. All we ask is that you read the brief regulations before posting.
